AceShowbiz - Wealth, love and betrayal have been highlighted in the newly-released trailer for "I Am Love". Following the major female character who has adapted to Italian life although she is a Russian, the sneak peek video showcases the luxuries that she enjoys as part of the bourgeoisie. Though the scenes previewed are quite intense, the trailer does not manage to explain the storyline since it only features very few dialog.
In Milan, wealthy Recchi family's lives are undergoing sweeping changes. Eduardo Sr., the family patriarch, has decided to name a successor to the reigns of his massive industrial company, surprising everyone by splitting power between his son Tancredi, and grandson Edo, the beloved heart of the family. But Edo dreams of opening a restaurant with his friend Antonio, a handsome and talented chef.
During that same evening, Eduardo Jr introduces his mother, Emma, to his friend Antonio, a chef, with whom he plans to set up a business. An adoring and attentive mother, her existence is shocked to the core when she falls quickly and deeply in love with Antonio, and embarks on a passionate love affair that will change her family forever.
Academy Award winner Tilda Swinton takes the lead role with the likes of Flavio Parenti, Edoardo Gabbriellini, Alba Rohrwacher and Pippo Delbono joining the cast. Luca Guadagnino directs, writes and produces this drama. Premiered at Sundance Film Festival, Venice Film Festival and Toronto Film Festival, "I Am Love" will get limited release in the U.S. on June 18.
