has received dead threats for months and her attorney revealed the FBI has finally recognized a person who has been sending her those threat emails. On Friday, April 2, the ESPN reporter's attorney, Marshall Grossman, claimed that a media outlet had gotten the messages, which were at first sexual but then turned violent, since September 2009.

Marshall disclosed that the emails discuss the case of Michael David Barrett, the man who was sentenced to 30 months in prison in March for stalking and video taping Erin through a peephole at several hotel rooms. The stalking case led into Erin's nude video being leaked on the internet.

Additionally, the "" contestant's attorney told Radar Online, "We learned about these emails the day before yesterday. Erin has very good security and protection. And she's making every effort to move forward but it is of course difficult to do so." Convincing media that the blackmailer has been traced down, he added, "The FBI is on the case."

Moreover, Marshall disclosed to TMZ that Erin was not aware on the situation until Thursday, April 1 since DirectTV had not told the 31-year-old sportscaster about the threatening emails despite receiving the first sexual message on September 16, 2009 which grew violent on March 14, 2010. "We are outraged that these emails did not come to our attention until now," the attorney said.

However, Marshall Grossman revealed that Erin Andrews will continue performing on the reality talent show. "Erin is not alone among those who have to deal with such predators," he shared. "Erin is looking forward to the future and will keep all of her commitments including her appearance on 'Dancing with the Stars'."
