AceShowbiz - Michelle Branch explained her album delay and revealed that she has worked on new songs and will add them on the upcoming release. "There are a handful of people out there that think for some reason that I have control over my album being released. Yes, I have a large say but sometimes things happen that are out of my hands," so she stated.
"My record label has been through the ringer as of late. I know you've heard it before but a lot of key people in my world were let go," she continued. "Warner Nashville just finally hired their new head of promo after almost 4 months of waiting. I literally haven't been able to even make a move because the staff to work the album hasn't been planned yet. There is a lot of restructuring going on and now would be the worst time to release an album. I have to wait until everything gets settled."
"There are a few new songs that I might add to the album to keep it fresh. It won't be pushing it back any further. I'm working on a few different projects, some musical, some not. I'm dying to get on the road and I have some dates that I'll be releasing soon. I know you are all frustrated. Believe me, I am too but this is all for the best. We're gonna have some fantastic new people on board to work this record and I am so excited about that."
Following her statement issued on her official website, she tweeted about working with powerhouse music maker Timbaland. "Just got home from the studio with Timbaland. Working on a really cool project. Can't wait for y'all to hear," she wrote.
Michelle Branch's upcoming album is titled "Everything Comes and Goes".
