'Iron Man 2': Olivia Munn's Role Changed
Movie

'They just gave me another role in the film. I had to re-shoot all of my scenes,' the 29-year-old beauty says when asked about her undisclosed role.

AceShowbiz - Olivia Munn had to work extra for "Iron Man 2" as she was forced to re-shoot her part in the movie. In an interview with Complex, she revealed that, after she wrapped production, director Jon Favreau decided her original character was not necessary in the film that her scenes were cut. Fortunately, he found another role for her.

"Actually, they just gave me another role in the film. I had to re-shoot all of my scenes," Munn stated when asked about her involvement in the "Iron Man" sequel. Explaining further how that could happen, she said, "As they started to edit they realized it was becoming darker than what they'd expected and what my scenes had allowed for. My parts were lighthearted and comedic."

Recalling the moment when she got informed about the new part, the model shared, "Jon Favreau called and was like, 'I've got good news and bad news: This is what's happening in editing but we all really like you'." She then added, "Marvel and Jon had to add another character from the Marvel universe to keep me included."

However, Munn refused to share details about her old or new role, claiming "I can't talk specifics because it's 'Iron Man 2'!" Meanwhile, rumors about her character mention that she could be cast as Melina Vostokoff aka Iron Maiden, who is known as the enemy of Black Widow, or Wanda Maximoff aka Scarlet Witch, who is a regular team member of The Avengers.

"Iron Man 2" will see Tony Stark who is asked to share his technology with the military after the world is aware that he is the man behind the armored superhero Iron Man. Robert Downey Jr. and Gwyneth Paltrow reprise their roles as Tony and Pepper Potts respectively, while Scarlett Johansson and Mickey Rourke play villains Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow and Ivan Vanko/ Whiplash. This sci-fi superhero flick will be debuted in U.S. theaters on May 7.
