Freida Pinto NOT Offered to Be Bond's Girl, Olivia Wilde Linked to 'Bond 23'

While the 'Slumdog Millionaire' star has denied her involvement in the next James Bond film, the Irish actress has not given any comment on news that she has been approached to star in the movie.

AceShowbiz - Daniel Craig has not found his new girl for the next James Bond film. Despite swirling rumors that Freida Pinto has signed on to star opposite the depicter of the famous British spy in "Bond 23", the actress, through her spokesperson, has dismissed the report.

"I would like to confirm that as of today, Freida Pinto has not been approached to be part of the next 'Bond' film," the spokesperson tells India's site NDTV. "It is of course very flattering to even be rumoured to be part of a Bond film but she has certainly not been approached for the role of the next Bond girl opposite Daniel Craig as yet."

Another woman who is said circling the upcoming movie about the 007 agent is Olivia Wilde. The 26-year-old beauty is reportedly approached to play a double-crossing UN worker based in Afghanistan. As of the press time, however, she has not released any statement to confirm or deny the possibility of joining the project.

"Bond 23" has tapped Peter Morgan to write the screenplay which is promised to offer "a shocking story." Beside Daniel Craig, Judi Dench has also confirmed her return to the upcoming film to reprise her role as MI6 chief "M". Sam Mendes is set to direct this forthcoming action thriller which is yet to set production date.

Freida Pinto is widely recognized for her portrayal of Latika in her debut film "Slumdog Millionaire", which was named Best Picture at 2009 Academy Awards. She is currently attached to star in "Miral", "You Will Meet A Tall Dark Stranger" as well as "Dawn of War".

Olivia Wilde, in the meantime, is best known for her role as Kelly in TV series "The O.C.". She has additionally starred in several movies, including "The Girl Next Door" and "Year One", and can be seen next in "Tron Legacy" which will hit U.S. theaters on December 17.
