AceShowbiz - Summit Entertainment has made a real step to make "Breaking Dawn" film. Latest report from the "The Twilight Saga's Breaking Dawn" development mentions that the studio has reached out to several top-notch directors for the upcoming project. Those who are wanted by Summit to tackle the helming duty include Gus Van Sant, Sofia Coppola and Bill Condon.

The news was first brought into attention by Entertainment Weekly who have received confirmation from Van Sant's representative that he is indeed approached by the studio. As for Coppola and Condon, there have been no words about their possible involvement in "Breaking Dawn" while Summit refused to give comment about the report.

However, Kristen Stewart has spoken up about the latest news regarding the candidates for "Breaking Dawn" director, confirming that the studio has really tried to get one of the said helmers. "I'm glad that's out and about," she told MTV in an interview. "I didn't know that was something that people knew."

Gus Van Sant has been Robert Pattinson's favorite choice to work on the fourth "Twilight" film. The man behind 2008 "Milk" was once nominated for an Academy Award for Achievement in Directing for his 1997 "Good Will Hunting".

Sofia Coppola and Bill Condon also have similar good reputations to Van Sant. The female helmer received an Academy Award nomination for directing 2003 "Lost in Translation", while the 54-year-old filmmaker landed Directors Guild of America and Broadcast Film Critics Association nominations for Directing for 2006 "Dreamgirls".

"The Twilight Saga's Breaking Dawn" will continue the love story between mortal beauty Bella Swan and hundred-year-old vampire Edward Cullen. There has been no decision made on whether or not the film will be split into two parts, but Melissa Rosenberg has been hired to write the script.
