Confirmed: Betty White Heading to 'Saturday Night Live'

The Facebook campaign did not go in vain, the actress who showed her comedy chop in a Super Bowl ad is now a confirmed act of 'SNL'.

Those demanding to see hosting "" have just got their wish come true. The former Golden Girl has personally confirmed to People that she will be heading to the variety show although no date is set yet.

During the 's Oscars after party on Sunday, March 7, White said "yes" when People asked her whether she's doing "SNL". She however, did not go further as revealing the details and the date, simply saying "I don't know why or how, but it's been wonderful."

One possible scheme prepared for White is "Women in Comedy". Entertainment Weekly noted that former members of the show, , and have been tapped to appear on the segment. However, executive producer Lorne Michaels has reportedly denied this.

Fans of Betty White flocked into a specially-created Facebook page after the comedienne appeared in a Snicker ad during the Super Bowl last month. The campaign attracted half a million fans hoping to witness White hosting the show.
