The host of 'Top Chef' who announced the 'medical miracle' pregnancy last year officially became a mother on Saturday, February 20.

AceShowbiz - After years trying to conceive and finally got her wish come true last year, Padma Lakshmi delivered a healthy baby girl on Saturday, February 20. "Model, author and Emmy-nominated host of Top Chef Padma Lakshmi gave birth to a baby girl named Krishna Thea Lakshmi on Saturday," her rep told People.

The rep added, "Mother and baby are well and happy," but still did not divulge the identity of the baby's father. In January, Lakshmi had uttered her intention to give the baby an Indian name. "It will be after someone in my family, so don't expect to see an Anglicized name - it will be a classically Indian Sanskrit name," she said.

Lakshmi took people by surprise with the "medical miracle" because she was struggling with endometriosis for years. The condition is the development of uterine-lining tissue outside the uterus which can lead to infertility.
