Video: Jay-Z, Alicia Keys, Lady GaGa and More Singing at BRITs

Before 'Empire State of Mind' duet performance by Jay-Z and Alicia Keys, Lady GaGa pays homage to Alexander McQueen in a stripped-down set.

In between the announcement of 2010 BRIT Awards' winners, musical guests were called out one by one to entertain the audience. Among those rocking London's Earls Court Exhibition Centre on February 16 were , and .

Jay-Z and Alicia Keys teamed up for "Empire State of Mind" duet. Before taking the mic for singing, the rap mogul raced to the stage to accept International Male Solo Artist prize, citing as his inspiration.

"There's two major moments in my life here, across the pond. There was Glastonbury, we proved hip hop could play anywhere," the MC said before then adding, "I also wanna thank the Spice Girls because they inspired me!"

GaGa who led the winners list of the evening with three coveted awards came onto the stage for a live performance which she dedicated to Alexander "Lee" McQueen, who died last week. She toned down her wild set with a low-key performance. "This is for Alexander McQueen," so she said.

The "Poker Face" hitmaker played an acoustic medley of "Telephone" and "Dance in the Dark". Still wearing the similar make-up and hair-do she wore on the red carpet; a towering beehive wig and a white lace Phillip Treacy mask, she said "we miss you so bad Lee" in between the performance.

Other performers included , , , , and . Closing the event was special honoree of the evening, , with medley of his hit singles.
