There will also be Jay-Z and Justin Timberlake hitting the recording booth and joining the impressive line-up for Haitian charity single.

AceShowbiz - Stars have gathered in a Los Angeles studio and started the recording session for Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie's classic song "We Are the World" to help the Haitian. Lady GaGa, Eminem, Jay-Z and Justin Timberlake are the latest big names added to the star-studded ensemble.

Justin Bieber, one of the singers involved in this project, wrote on Twitter about the making of the charity single. "Singing We Are The World right now with Celine Dion next to me!! Everyone is here!! I'm meeting everyone!! This is insane! Ok ok chill."

The remix will be produced by Quincy Jones, the same man who works on the original song. He will be helped by acclaimed music maker RedOne. "I know that Lionel Richie has been asked like 150-something times to redo 'We Are the World' and he said no to everything until this Haiti thing happened. ... And to be one of the people they called to have fresh input to the song, to help produce the song - I have no words," RedOne told Rolling Stone during the recent Grammy Awards.

Other musicians lending their vocal to the remake song are Miley Cyrus, Jennifer Hudson, Will Smith, Jason Mraz, Sugarland, Sheryl Crow, Mya, Usher, Akon, Carlos Santana, Enrique Iglesias, Toni Braxton, Stacy Ferguson aka Fergie, Bono and Wyclef Jean.
