In addition, Beyonce Knowles is given Song of the Year, and Zac Brown Band are crowned Best New Artist.

AceShowbiz - Taylor Swift and Beyonce Knowles continue their early dominations at the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards. The two female singers accept Best Country Album and Song of the Year respectively at the show opened by Lady GaGa and Elton John's duet.

Collecting the trophy, Taylor notes it was the first time she climbed onto the Staples Center stairs to "accept a Grammy on national television." She adds, "I want to thank my record label for letting me write every song on my album. ... I just believe I'm standing here accepting an impossible dream."

Beyonce, meanwhile, is unable to give her acceptance speech because she must prepare for her performance. Her winning is announced by Stephen Colbert who gives a shout out to her daughter and joked about warning her to stay away from Katy Perry. He says, "Have a good time, honey - just stay away from Katy Perry." Prior to that, he told the crowd, "I ran into the Jonas Brothers back stage. Or I ran into one Jonas Brother three times, I'm not sure."

Moreover, Stephen also manages to talk about singing sensation Susan Boyle. He states, "Justin Timberlake may have brought the sexy back, but Susan Boyle sent it away this year. Goodbye, sexy! ... Your industry was saved by a 48-year-old Scottish cat lady in sensible shoes."

After "Glitter in the Air" performance from Pink, Zac Brown Band are announced as Best New Artist. Following the announcement, Black Eyed Peas take the stage with a medley of "Imma Be" and "I Gotta Feeling" which is introduced by Miley Cyrus. Lady Antebellum then deliver "Need You Know".
