The OneRepublic's singer is desperate to play the demo song he originally pens for Alicia Keys to Cheryl Cole.

Involved in the making of Cheryl Cole's first U.S. solo album, Ryan Tedder wants to give the song he wrote for Alicia Keys to the Girls Aloud singer. "There's a song I did with Alicia Keys that was finished too late for her album and I'm convinced it's the perfect song for Cheryl Cole," he told Digital Spy.

"I'm desperately trying to get the demo out of her label's grasp so I can play it for Cheryl," the frontman of OneRepublic explained further. "It's a ballad in my sense, so it's got massive drums and it really moves, and it'll give you goosebumps when you hear it."

Though so, Ryan admitted to Digital Spy that dance music is invading U.S. right now and that what made ballad songs like Leona Lewis' "Happy" fails to chart. "America's consumed with Lady GaGa and dance music right now, so it's not the best time for ballads anyway," he stated.

Beside working on Cheryl Cole's forthcoming release, Ryan Tedder reportedly also helps Jennifer Hudson and Katy Perry finishing their new records.
