Video: Jimmy Kimmel Ripped Into Jay Leno During Ten at Ten
TV

'I told a guy that five years from now, I'm going to give you my show, and then I gave it to him and took it back almost instantly,' Kimmel said on his best prank.

AceShowbiz - Jimmy Kimmel made a joke out of Jay Leno on "The Jay Leno Show" on Thursday, January 14. Appearing via satellite to answer Leno's Ten at Ten, Kimmel said a good impression of Leno that he did earlier this week was a combination of "Sylvester the Cat, Curly from 'The Three Stooges' and Scrappy-Doo."

Later on Kimmel touched the sensitive issue of Conan O'Brien being shoved from the 11.35 P.M. slot in order for Leno to take the spot. Asked whom he would like to have as guest, Kimmel answered, "It would be you and Conan at the same time, because I have a lot of questions for you." Kimmel said it would be a 12 at 12 instead of 10 at 10.

The biggest bomb however was on the question "What was the best prank you pulled?" Kimmel said, "I told a guy that five years from now, I'm going to give you my show, and then I gave it to him and took it back almost instantly. I think he works at FOX or something now."

One of the few last questions was still drawing laughters. Leno asked Kimmel what show he would like to host. Kimmel responded," Oh, this is a trick, right? Where you get me to host 'The Tonight Show,' and then take it back from me? Listen, Lucy, I'm not Charlie Brown. I don't fall for that trick."

The segment was closed with a message from Kimmel to Leno. He said, "Listen, Jay, Conan and I have children. All you have to take care of is cars. We have lives to lead here. You've got $800 million. For God's sake, leave our shows alone!"
