AceShowbiz - One of "America's Got Talent" judges is down. David Hasselhoff has resigned from the talent show to concentrate on his own show which details are still kept under wrap. A new judge is slated to fill for him, joining Piers Morgan and Sharon Osbourne.

"I am proud that I was part of making America's Got Talent the No. 1 rated show for the past four summers," David said in a statement to People. "It's been a rewarding experience and now I'm thrilled to be able to follow my dream to do my own TV show, which will be announced very shortly. I want to thank my friend, (executive producer) Simon Cowell, and everyone at NBC and Fremantle for the opportunity for four great years."

In return NBC released the official statement that confirms the departure. "David's been an integral part of the success of America's Got Talent and we are sad to see him go. We wish him all the best with his new show," the network said.

The fifth season will resume in Summer but auditions had been held in Fall in cities like Chicago, New York and Philadelphia.
