The 'Mission Impossible' actor is not attached to the upcoming action movie, in which the 17-year-old hunk is set to star as a young pilot.

AceShowbiz - Taylor Lautner continues to add job on his already busy schedule. The "Twilight" hunk has been hired to star as a pilot in upcoming action movie "Northern Lights (2010)". However, contrary to reports mentioning that he is going to share screen with Tom Cruise, Skydance Productions has announced that the film will not feature the "Knight & Day" actor.
"Set against the backdrop of extreme flying, 'Northern Lights' follows four young pilots as they compete against the world's best," a rep for David Ellison's Skydance Productions told the site about the plot. "A story of teamwork, sacrifice, loss, and victory, these young aviators push themselves to physical and emotional limits in the unforgiving world of performance aerobatics."
John Moore, the man behind "Max Payne", is slated to take the directing duty. Meanwhile, Ellison and Dean Devlin will serve as producers. Additionally, Ellison will team up with Chuck Russell and Duane Adler to write the script for the film.
After gaining recognition through his portrayal of Jacob Black in "Twilight" and its sequel "The Twilight Saga's New Moon", Taylor Lautner has signed on to take the lead role in upcoming Summit's action movie "Cancun". He is additionally set to star as title character in Paramount Picture's superhero film "Max Steel.
