The KISS' member is accused of assaulting a couple and threatening their lives in an L.A. shopping mall on December 19.

AceShowbiz - Gene Simmons, one of the KISS' personnel, has been sued by a couple, Nathan Marlowe and Cynthia Manzo, for allegedly attacking them. They filed the legal document against the bassist/vocalist on Thursday, December 24 in L.A. County Superior Court.

The lawsuit stems from a December 19 incident at a Los Angeles area shopping mall where upset Simmons is said grabbing Marlowe and Manzo by the neck when he was questioned about his playboy reputation. The musician is also reported to have taken their camera and threatened their lives, saying "I will end you" and "I will kill you".

The couple is now seeking damages of more than $25,000 for civil claims of assault, battery and infliction of emotional distress, according to The Associated Press. Prior to filing an assault lawsuit, they sought a restraining order against Simmons, but the petition was denied by judge on Wednesday, December 23 due to lack of "a threat of future harm."
