Authorities find marijuana in two of his tour buses and so briefly detain the music star and 11 of his entourage to be questioned.

AceShowbiz - Lil Wayne has another run-in with the law when he and 11 people traveling with him were briefly detained in Texas on Friday night, December 18 after authorities found marijuana in two of his tour buses. The hip-hop artist and his entourage were questioned and released. The case has since been referred to the Brooks County Sheriff's Office.

Wayne and his group were en route to Laredo, Texas, from a concert venue in Hidalgo when they were stopped by the U.S. Border Patrol in Falfurrias, about 80 miles southwest of Corpus Christi, where the rapper is scheduled to perform Sunday night, December 20. A drug dog initially detected the odor of narcotics in one of the buses and marijuana was found during further inspections. Though so, no drugs were found on Wayne personally or anyone else in the entourage, TMZ reports.

Following the arrest, Wayne's scheduled concert for Friday at the Laredo Entertainment Center in Laredo, TX was postponed. The general manager of the venue has told TMZ that they were forced to cancel the show because Wayne didn't show up and they couldn't get in touch with him or his people.

Calls made to Wayne's people to seek comment regarding his arrest haven't been returned yet.

Aside from his latest legal problem, Lil Wayne is facing jail time that stemmed from a 2007 case of an attempted criminal possession of a weapon. He already pleaded guilty in October and is scheduled to appear in court for sentencing in February next year.
