'Solomon Kane' Gets New Clip

AceShowbiz - Davis Films has released a new clip for adventure movie "Solomon Kane". Debuted by SuperHeroHype, the snippet highlights the brutality of a group of men who captures some villagers before Solomon Kane shows up and tries to stop them.

Solomon is a 16th Century soldier who is known for his cruel actions in battlefields. After learning he has been damned for life for his actions, he is determined to redeem himself by converting to puritanism and living a life of peace and goodness. But, soon his peaceful life is threatened when dark power arrives and he finds himself dragged out of retirement for a fight against evil in all its forms.

The first part in a trilogy series, "Solomon Kane" is an epic adventure adapted from the classic pulp stories by Robert E. Howard, creator of "Conan the Barbarian." Directed by Michael J. Bassett, it stars James Purefoy as the titular character with Rachel Hurd-Wood, Alice Krige, Max von Sydow, Mackenzie Crook, and many others in supporting roles. The film is slated for a 2010 release schedule.
