Leading the pack with ten nominations each are star-studded musical drama 'Nine' and Brad Pitt-starring drama action movie 'Inglourious Basterds'.

AceShowbiz - On Monday, December 14, Broadcast Film Critics Association has unveiled the nominations for the 15th annual Critics' Choice Awards. Based on the announcement, it is known that "Nine" and "Inglourious Basterds" have shown their dominations by earning ten nods each.
The drama musical and the drama action movie will be up against each other in six categories, including Best Picture, Best Acting Ensemble, Best Cinematography, Best Art Direction, Best Editing, and Best Costume Design. Additionally, "Nine" lands Best Supporting Actress count for Marion Cotillard, while "Inglourious Basterds" aids Christoph Waltz and Quentin Tarantino being honored among the contenders for Best Supporting Actor award and Best Directing prize respectively.
Meanwhile, "Avatar" which receives nine nominations, and "Up in the Air" along with "The Hurt Locker" which each garners eight nods also have their chances to be big winners at the event. Also listed among the nominees is "The Blind Side" star Sandra Bullock, who shares Best Actress nod with Emily Blunt, Carey Mulligan, Saoirse Ronan, Gabourey Sidibe, and Meryl Streep.
Winners of the 15th annual Critics' Choice Awards will be announced on a gala on Friday, January 15, 2010 at the Hollywood Palladium. The show will be hosted by Kristin Chenoweth and aired live on VH1 starting at 9:00 P.M. ET/PT.
