'Sherlock Holmes' World Premiere Attracts Celebrities

Beside holding the special screening event, Warner Bros. Pictures has released several new clips to promote the action adventure film.

AceShowbiz - Less than two weeks before it is released in theaters across the U.S., "Sherlock Holmes" has held a world premiere in London, England. On Monday, December 14, green carpet was rolled out at Empire Leicester Square to welcome the cast and crew members of the film.

The depicters of the titular character and his partner, Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law, were seen posing for cameras before entering the building. Additionally, the lead actress, Rachel McAdams, was snapped gracefully hitting the green carpet by donning a gray long dress. Other cast who also came to the event included Mark Strong and Kelly Reilly.

Later, Guy Ritchie who has served as man behind the lens of this adventure drama movie was also spotted among the attendees. Meanwhile, celebrity guests who joined the special screening event were Gwen Stefani, Heather Graham, Kian Egan of Westlife, Jenni Falconer, and Chris Eubank.

On the same day of the world premiere, "Sherlock Holmes" has also released several new clips. Debuted by Trailer Addict, the snippets give a look at many never-before-seen scenes from the flick which presents a new portrayal of Arthur Conan Doyle's most famous characters.

The film will see Sherlock Holmes and his partner Dr. Watson on their latest challenge. Having lethal fighting skills in addition to his legendary intellect, Holmes attempts to bring down a new nemesis and unravel a deadly plot that could destroy the country. Warner Bros. Pictures will release the film in the U.S. on December 25.
