A Maryland judge rules Jon Gosselin to not take any media tour which will violate his contract with TLC.

AceShowbiz - TLC's request for a preliminary injunction against Jon Gosselin has finally been granted by a judge on Thursday, December 10. It means that the father of eight must stop making any media appearances and endorsements that the TLC network claim violate his contract.

In response to the court's ruling, TLC released a statement, saying they are pleased with it. "The Court has validated our view that Mr. Gosselin has a valid, binding contract and that he has breached it repeatedly," the TV station stated.

"Step one -- getting the court to order Mr. Gosselin to comply with his contractual obligations -- has been accomplished. Any further breaches going forward will be violations of a court order. We look forward to the next phase of the litigation, which is to pursue our claim for damages resulting from Mr. Gosselin's numerous breaches."

A day prior, there was testimony inside Montgomery County Circuit Court. On the occasion, TLC Chief Operating Officer Edward Sabin testified about Jon's lifestyle, referring to his recent Las Vegas pool party. "It made the show look bad," Sabin said as quoted by Radar Online. "Photos of Jon Gosselin with scores of bikini-clad women was inconsistent with our image brand of our show."

On their argument of renaming "Jon & Kate Plus 8" to "Kate Plus 8", the network reasoned, "[We] decided to rename the program and shift the focus to Kate [Gosselin]'s plight as a single mother; [Jon] was going to be paid under the same terms of the contract."
