Matthew Broderick's 'Wonderful World' Gets New Trailer
Movie

In the drama film, pessimistic man Ben Singer finds the wonder of the world when he realizes that cynicism may be all a matter of perspective.

AceShowbiz - Another sneak peak at Magnolia Pictures' "Wonderful World" has been shared through a new trailer. Debuted by Apple, the video gives a look at some never-before-seen scenes of the drama film about an unhappy man who has a chance to discover the wonder of the world.

Divorced guy Ben Singer is a failed children's folk singer, a newly unemployed proofreader and a less-than-extraordinary weekend dad. He's also the most negative man alive. Floundering in all aspects of his life, Ben's only comforts come from smoking marijuana alone and regular chess games with his smart and opinionated Senegalese roommate Ibou.

When Ibou is suddenly struck ill, and an insensitive municipal employee exacerbates the emergency situation, Ben's pessimistic worldview seems unequivocally confirmed. His only recourse is to pour his energies into a frivolous lawsuit against the city for depraved indifference. Ben's life begins to turn around with the arrival of Ibou's beautiful and sexy sister Khadi from Senegal, who moves into Ibou's room in Ben's apartment. Ben soon finds that cynicism may be all a matter of perspective.

Matthew Broderick leads with Jodelle Ferland, Michael Kenneth Williams, and Sanaa Lathan in supporting roles. The three portray Ben Singer's daughter Sandra, Ibou, and Ibou's sister Khadi respectively. The film was produced by Ambush Entertainment, Back Lot Pictures and Cold Iron Pictures with K5 International handling the world sales. In summer this year, however, Magnolia Pictures picked up the movie to be distributed in the U.S. on January 8, 2010.
