AceShowbiz - Fox 2000 Pictures has released an international trailer for "Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief". Debuted on Wednesday, November 18, the clip gives a glimpse of snake-haired Medusa, played by Uma Thurman, toward the end of the footage.

Set in the 21st century, the film follows 12-year-old student, Percy, who discovers that he is the demigod son of the Greek god, Poseidon. He later learns that the legendary beings of Greek mythology still exist in Mount Olympus which is located on the mythical 600th floor of the Empire State Building.

But, being one of the "Big Three" children, he is frequently put under attack by monsters, including Medusa who uses the moniker of "Aunty Em". Now, he goes on an adventure of a lifetime as he embarks on a journey across modern-day America to save his mother, return Zeus' stolen lightning bolt, and prevent a war between the gods.

Coming from Chris Columbus, the director of the first three "Harry Potter" films, "Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief" has Logan Lerman to portray Percy Jackson. Joining him and Uma Thurman in the cast ensemble are Pierce Brosnan as Chiron, trainer of heroes, and Rosario Dawson as Persephone, Goddess of Springtime. The film will open wide in the U.S. on February 12, 2010.
