Rachel McAdams May Be Black Cat in 'Spider-Man 4'

Peter Parker's alter ego possibly faces two villains in 'Spider-Man 4', one of which may be Black Cat, whom Rachel McAdams has been attached to.

AceShowbiz - Words on the street are, Rachel McAdams is in talks to join "Spider-Man 4" to portray another lead female. Mania has obtained information from sources who stated that "The Time Traveler's Wife" actress has met the film's producers to discuss her possibility to play villain character called Black Cat, the alter ego of Felicia Hardy.

The site additionally has reported that Spider-Man may deal with two nemeses in the upcoming movie project. According to a source who gave the movie's update to the site, Columbia Pictures has also been casting for a male villain, but the details have not been known yet.

Previously, there was a rumor that The Lizard will be the only villain in the fourth "Spider-Man" film. However, Dylan Baker, who has been confirmed to play Dr. Curt Connors who eventually becomes The Lizard, remained mum when asked whether or not his character will be seen as the lead baddie.

"Spider-Man 4" is produced by Avi Arad along with Grant Curtis and Laura Ziskin. Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst have been set to reprise their roles as Peter Parker and his love interest, Mary Jane Watson, respectively. The director, Sam Raimi, suggested the production will be kicked off in March 2010 while the movie is planned to hit U.S. theaters on May 6, 2011.
