Video: Rihanna Appeared on 'Alexa Chung'
TV

Declaring November 9 as 'Rihanna Day' on MTV, the music network dedicated one-hour special with Rihanna that includes interview and dance tribute by We Are Heroes.

AceShowbiz - For the second time within a week, Rihanna went public with her personal take of the altercation with Chris Brown. To MTV's "It's On with Alexa Chung", the singer shares that she did an interview with ABC's Diane Sawyer in "Good Morning America" because she wanted to keep people from doing the same mistake she did.

Rihanna thought that sitting down for a TV interview would "give insight to people who have been through" what she has. "[The fan response has been] insane, and for a little statistic there's the domestic violence hotline, and the calls have been up 59 percent. It's also helping save lives," Rihanna explained the after-effect.

The conversation with Alexa Chung did not circle on the sensitive topic for long. Rihanna was actually on the network to promote her latest album "Rated R" which will be dropped in stores across the United States on November 23. According to MTV the episode was an ode to Rihanna, featuring "America's Best Dance Crew" champion We Are Heroes dancing to a medley of her songs.

Taking in lighter questions, Rihanna talked about her body arts, going home to Barbados and uncomfortable clothes.

She also explained why her first single "Russian Roulette" is somehow dark in tone. "Well, actually Ne-Yo gave me the first song we did on the album," she said. "It's called 'Stupid in Love' [which we worked on early on], and 'Russian Roulette' came at the end. ... And the song was very dark, which matched the base of the album. I love that it was metaphorical."
