New 'Avatar' Footage Unveiled Through Japanese Trailer
Movie

Although this freshly-released trailer is shorter than the U.S. version and seems to offer similar footage, it does reel in more glimpses at Pandora and the Na'vi.

AceShowbiz - More sneak peek at the highly anticipated "Avatar" has made its way out in the form of a new Japanese trailer. Presented via Yahoo!, this fresh promo video is shorter than the three minutes U.S. trailer. Still, it manages to reel in a number of never-before-seen footage, including glimpses of Pandora and the Na'vi.

In this sci-fi movie, Sam Worthington stars as Jake Sully, a former Marine who was wounded and paralyzed from the waist down in combat on Earth. Getting the chance to walk again when selected to participate in the Avatar program, he travels to Pandora and with his new avatar body, he goes on a scouting mission for the soldiers that will follow.

There in the Pandora's jungle, he meets and falls in love with a young Na'vi female named Neytiri. Having integrated himself into the Na'vi clan, he soon finds himself getting caught between the military-industrial forces of Earth and the Na'vi. Now, he has to choose sides in an epic battle that will decide the fate of an entire world.

"Avatar" is a live action movie directed, co-produced and written also by the "Titanic" helmer James Cameron. Sigourney Weaver stars as botanist Dr. Grace Augustine, Stephen Lang as Marine Corps Colonel Quaritch, Zoe Saldana as Neytiri, Michelle Rodriguez as retired Marine pilot Trudy Chacon, and many others. This 20th Century Fox film is set to hit the U.S. theaters on December 18.
