The two have worked together for "", a FOX comedy series which stars a number of "Arrested" actors including .

Hurwitz had mentioned previously that the scripting won't be started unless all the main actors were committed. Arnett, , , , , and are among the original stars expected to make their return for the big screen version.

At the WonderCon panel for "Sit Down, Shut Up" in February, Hurwitz has shared on the difficulties of bringing back all of the actors together. "We've had some trouble," he confessed. "Unlike animation, where you can get the cast back together, it's been a little challenging scheduling everyone."

While he strives to do the right thing and keep his family together, his family delves in materialism, selfishness, and their manipulative natures. The series has received six Emmy Awards and was executive produced by Ron Howard.
