Rumor claiming that Charlie Watts will be replaced by Charlie Drayton is not true, a spokesperson for The Rolling Stones says.

AceShowbiz - Fran Curtis, a spokesperson for The Rolling Stones is quick to respond to rumor suggesting drummer Charlie Watts is no longer the band's member. "Contrary to a fabricated story that ran this morning on a small music web site in Australia, drummer Charlie Watts has not left The Rolling Stones," Fran told Billboard.

The speculation that Charlie quit the band was outed by Australian web, Undercover. The online publication claimed the drummer will be replaced by Charlie Drayton who had solo projects with the band's guitarist Keith Richards.

Charlie Watts joined The Rolling Stones in 1963. His contributions to the band included designing their tour stages and merchandises. He is also considered as the key member of the band due to his jazz-influenced drumming style. This rock band haven't released any studio effort since their poor-selling album "A Bigger Bang" was dropped in 2005.
