'Wanted 2' Finds Reason to Bring Angelina Jolie Back
Movie

Timur Bekmambetov, the director of 'Wanted' sequel, claims he already figures out the reason why Angelina Jolie's assassin character, Fox, survives the first film.

AceShowbiz - Angelina Jolie's assassin character in "Wanted (2008)" has a reason to return to "Wanted 2". Having claimed earlier that he was still "trying to figure out what's the motivation for her to resurrect", director Timur Bekmambetov recently told MTV that he has already had a reason that makes it possible to see her again in the sequel.

Gushing about it, Bekmambetov said, "But there has to be a reason for her to come back... and we know the reason. I think we found the reason for her to come back." He also explained how Fox will get recovered, saying "If you remember from the first film, we have a recovery room with the baths of wax. We know how to do this, but it's still tough to do, because the bullet is inside her head."

The filmmaker did not explain further about the motivation for her to stay alive, but mentioned that Fox's return is still the main issue in the development of the "Wanted" sequel. He noted that they "are trying hard" because "she was kind of... dead." Though so, he believes that the shooting will be kicked off in short time, saying "I think we will make the movie this winter."

"Wanted 2" will center on the international group of assassins from issues 4 and 5 of Mark Millar's graphic novel. The script is written by Evan Spiliotopoulos, while Marc E. Platt and Jim Lemley will serve as the producers alongside Bekmambetov. James McAvoy will reprise his role as Wesley Gibson.
