Previously in the stage of 'wait and see', A and E has moved forward with the plan to air a one-hour pilot featuring the Jackson brothers preparing for a new album and Jackson Five reunion.

AceShowbiz - Talks about the Jackson brothers reality show are soon to erupt again almost two months after Michael Jackson's death. Cable channel A&E will go ahead with airing the one-hour pilot featuring Jackie Jackson, Tito Jackson, Jermaine Jackson, Marlon Jackson and Randy Jackson, and will announce the premiere date "soon".

Pilot to the show tentatively called "The Jackson Family" had been shot when the King of Pop was still alive. Dan Silberman, spokesman for the network said that the series will focus on the five brothers sans Michael who did not agree to participate in the first place.

The news about this pilot has already surfaced shortly after Michael's death on June 25. At that time, the network refused to make use of the sensitive time to talk about the series. "We are respecting the family's wishes right now, and at the appropriate time we will all decide what direction this program to take, so stay tuned," an A&E exec said. The plan was to air it sometime next year but THR said it will air within this month.

There were rumors that the pilot will stretch to a full series order featuring how the brothers deal with the passing of Michael. But through a statement given to The AP, the network said they have no further plan other than airing the one episode.
