American audience pitted dancing acts FootworKINGz and Pixie Mystere for the last spot of Top 5 in the third week.

AceShowbiz - The third batch of talents joining the finalists of "America's Got Talent" this season has been unveiled during the telecast on Wednesday, August 19. Dancing group FootworKINGz almost missed the last spot of the Top 5 this week but was saved by the judges' unanimous vote. As a result, dancers Pixie Mystere have to swallow the bitter pill of almost making it to the final.

The first to be read as a finalist was Texan pianist Jeffery Ou who put aside fellow pianist Bri Bernstein. Singer Lawrence Beamen advanced next, followed by married jugglers Mario and Jenny Ferreira, and breakdancer Hairo Torres. Still not quite pleased with America's votes, judge Piers Morgan said upon determining the fifth finalist, "I think America's made some strange decisions with a couple of these acts."

These set of acts will join the 10 others who had moved on to the next round earlier. One more group consisting of five acts will be selected next week before the show could move on to the final round and crown the winner. This year, the victorious one will earn $1 million prize apart from the wide exposure on national TV and a Las Vegas show stint in October.

The Wednesday episode featured a singing performance by Ashley Tisdale and DAUGHTRY. Chris Daughtry who fronts the band and was a finalist of "American Idol" shared his comment of the show, saying "It's never easy to be in front of, well, one, an audience, and then millions of people judging you on the other side of the screen."
