In the promo ad for 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, Russell Brand sings about hoping to see Katy Perry making out with Pink.

AceShowbiz - Russell Brand-featuring TV spot for the 26th Annual MTV Video Music Awards has been uncovered by the music network. Like the previous promo ads, this new one is also inspired by West Side Story's musical number "Tonight".
Russell is seen dancing on the street of New York City while he is on his way to Radio City Hall where the event is going to take place on September 13. The British comedian/actor sings about hoping to see Katy Perry making out with Pink at the show. He chants about selling Moonmen for sexual favors as well.
Previously, MTV has made public five promotional pictures for the event. The photos show Russell, Katy, Ne-Yo, Taylor Swift and Cobra Starship holding the awards' trophy in individual shots. Moreover, the commercial ad which sees Ne-Yo has also hit the web earlier this week. Unlike the previous ones which capture the guest stars singing to "Tonight", this promo featuring Ne-Yo has him delivering "Rock It" with scenes where Cobra Starship sing the same song intercepting.
2009 MTV Video Music Awards will be hosted by Russell Brand. Taylor Swift, Muse, Green Day, Pink, Jay-Z and Lady GaGa are tapped to sing at the event. Meanwhile, Nelly Furtado, Leighton Meester, Miranda Cosgrove, Katy Perry, Ne-Yo and Chace Crawford will present awards at the ceremony.
