Alternate 'South Park' Pilot Available to Watch
TV

The very first 'South Park' episode, that didn't get to go on air back in 1997 on Comedy Central, is premiered online exactly 12 years after.

AceShowbiz - The never-before-seen 1997 pilot of "South Park" is now available for viewing pleasure. It's basically the same to the aired pilot "Cartman Gets and Anal Probe" that was broadcast 12 years ago but it includes additional four minutes by creators of the twisted animated series, Trey Parker and Matt Stone.

The way they did it back then was to create it entirely by hand on construction paper. Both Parker and Stone handled the animation and voice work. There is also an option to watch it with commentary from animation director Eric Stough and creative director Chris Brion.

The pilot is screened by ad-supported website SouthParkStudios.com for 30 days and will go online in its entirety next month.

"South Park" is once again running for Outstanding Animated Program (for programming less than one hour) category at Primetime Emmy Awards this year. The show has won the title last year and in the odd years before that (2005 and 2007).
