Due to South Dakota accident which gives Steven Tyler minor head and neck injuries, Aerosmith scrap Canadian show to give their vocalist time to recuperate.

AceShowbiz - Aerosmith's Steven Tyler fell from the stage during a live concert at Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in South Dakota. According to Billboard, the vocalist suffered minor head and neck injuries as well as a shoulder injury. On early Thursday, August 6, he was sent to hospital for medical treatment.

"He does a lot of dancing on the stage and he does a lot of stuff with his mike stand. He put his stand down and twirled around and stepped backwards off the stage," Mike Sanborn, a spokesman for the Buffalo Chip Campground which hosted the outdoor gig, told Billboard. "It was an unfortunate end to an extraordinary evening."

Tyler did some dance moves to keep concergoers entertained when sound system failed during the band's "Love in an Elevator" set. After falling from the stage, he was taken to the backstage and soon afterwards, guitarist Joe Perry told the crowd that they would take Tyler to hospital and the concert was forced to cut out.

Though suffering from several injuries due to the accident, Tyler was said to be in good spirits. "He was good natured about it. ... When he got in the helicopter, he was talking and joking with the physician," it was explained further.

In order to give Steven Tyler time to recuperate, this band called off their upcoming show on Friday, August 7 at Canad Inns Stadium in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
