Chris Weitz says Kings of Leon may be involved in the making of 'The Twilight Saga's New Moon' soundtrack, and Radiohead's Thom Yorke hopes to make contribution to the project.

AceShowbiz - "The Twilight Saga's New Moon" director Chris Weitz shared to Rotten Tomatoes about who may be billed to make music for the upcoming "Twilight" sequel. "We might, if we're very lucky, get Kings of Leon to do something," so he said.

Besides, "The Golden Compass" helmer also shared that Radiohead's frontman Thom Yorke wants to lend helping hands to the project. Commenting on that, Chris stated, "It's exciting to be able to have access to this kind of talent."

Previously, Kelly Clarkson, Justin Guarini and Jonas Brothers also shared hopes to contribute to this Robert Pattinson-starring film. However, Paramore who crafted hit single "Decode" for the first installment of the vampire drama flick series confirmed they have no desire to get involved in this sequel project. "We don't want to be, like, the vampire house band, It was really fun to be a part of that, and great exposure, but I think 'Twilight' was it for us," they said.

Up to date, Chris Wietz insisted nothing has been confirmed just yet. "I'm not at the stage where I have to turn anybody down yet, because everything is still kind of up in the air," he explained. "But I am surprised at some of the bands that have said they're interested. It's kind of great. The criterion will still always be what's right for the movie at that given moment." Representative for Atlantic Records, the label which will release the soundtrack compilation, also refused to spill the beans on that matter.

While who will sing the soundtrack of the film are still to be determined, Chris stated Alexandre Desplat, the same man who composed "Golden Compass" music, "has just started working on his music for the film." Answering question on whether or not "Bella Lullaby" which is composed by Carter Burwell and sung by Robert Pattinson will re-appear in the movie, the filmmaker said, "I think yes, because like any franchise, there are certain themes that become familiar. I suspect he's going to transpose it in some manner, and most of the music will be entirely new to the franchise because his style is somewhat different from Carter Burwell's."

An adaptation to Stephenie Meyer's second novel of her "Twilight" series, "New Moon" will follow Bella when she is left abruptly by Edward. Being unguarded from outside threat and devastated following his departure, Bella is comforted by her growing friendship with Jacob. The movie is due to arrive in theaters across United States on November 20.
