An open casting call from Mirage Studios for martial arts experts unraveled that the Turtles' rivals, the Foot Clan, will be seen in a new live-action film for 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles'.

AceShowbiz - After their defeat in 2007's "TMNT", the Foot Clan is coming back to the big screen in a new live-action film for "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" series, Untitled New TMNT Project. The news emerged as Go Green Machine posted Mirage Studios' open casting call for these Turtles' main rivals.

The casting call seeking for 14 years or older martial arts experts noted Mirage Studios, 4Kids Entertainment and TMNT Productions "will select the best from the auditions to be a part of the stealth TMNT nemesis, the Foot Clan." The audition for the cast of the fictional Ninjutsu clan will be held on Saturday, July 18, from 10:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at Hollywood & Highland as a part of the 25th Anniversary Shell-ebration of the "Heroes on a Half Shell" in 2009.

It was also informed that the audition will be judged by actor and martial arts expert Ernie Reyes Jr., Jason Morgan from the American Taekwondo Association, and the movie producers Scott Mednick and Galen Walker. More detailed info can be read at Go Green Machine.

Mirage Studios first announced in April that they will make a new live-action TMNT movie. At that time, the movie co-creator Peter Laird stated the initial discussion about the movie suggested that it will be made using "hybrid" ninja turtles which means there will be live action with realistic Turtles rendered in CGI and blended in.

The "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" reboot is planned to be released in 2011. However, no name has been mentioned as the cast and the director of the movie project. Regarding the storyline, it has been stated that the film will focus on the origins of the Turtles.
