Attending the N.Y.C. premiere of 'Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince', Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson address how it feels like having to do romantic scenes with co-stars whom they grew up with.

AceShowbiz - Two days after a stormy world premiere in London, "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" stopped by the famed Ziegfeld Theatre in New York City for a U.S. premiere. Attending the special screening event held specifically on Thursday, July 9, its cast and crew were greeted by blue skies and rabid fans.

Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Bonnie Wright and Rupert Grint all came out for the star-studded premiere. But, they weren't the only cast members coming. Alan Rickman, Michael Gambon, Tom Felton, Warwick Davis and Freddie Stroma were also spotted joining the celebration.

At the red carpet some of the cast made time to address how difficult it is to have to do a romantic scene with the co-star they have worked together since they were young. To MTV, Watson shared on her experience of romancing co-star Grint on screen. "It was really awkward. Rupert's like my brother, so it just felt very, very strange," she admitted. "But he's a gentleman, and he was a great kisser."

In similar tone, lead actor Radcliffe talked about his kissing scene with Ginny Weasley's depicter Wright. "I've known Bonnie - even though she's obviously stunningly beautiful, as you have seen tonight - I've known her since she was 9 and I was 11," he said. "So that was kind of weird at first. But we got used to it. We got over it pretty quickly."

Beside the cast, director David Yates, producer David Heyman as well as Warner Bros. topper Alan Horn also made time to come to the premiere. Other celebrities coming to check out the highly anticipated fantasy included Ashanti, Chevy Chase, Denis Leary, Diane Sawyer, Kelsey Grammer, Lance Bass, Marcia Gay Harden, Michelle Trachtenberg and Vanessa Williams.

"Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" will center its story at the time when Voldemort's grip on both the Muggle and wizarding worlds is tightening. With Hogwarts no longer being the safe haven it once was, Dumbledore begins to prepare Harry for the final battle that he knows is fast approaching. Bringing in his old friend and colleague Professor Horace Slughorn, he works together with Harry to unlock Voldemort's defenses.

Despite the ever growing danger, love is in the air for the students of Hogwarts. Harry finds himself more and more attracted to Ginny, and finds out that so is Dean Thomas. While Lavender Brown has decided that Ron is the one for her, Ron gets distracted by Romilda Vane. Hermione, on the other hand, determines not to show her jealousy.
