Four couples travel to an exotic couples counseling resort, only to experience a series of mishaps and setbacks, in an upcoming comedy by Jon Favreau called 'Couples Retreat'.

AceShowbiz - Universal Pictures has debuted the first trailer for "Couples Retreat" on Apple. More than two-minute long, the promotional video for the comedy movie introduces the four main couples, Vince Vaughn and Malin Akerman, Faizon Love and Kali Hawk, Jason Bateman and Kristen Bell, as well as Jon Favreau and Kristin Davis.
The trailer helps to explain how things are going between each of the couples before dropping the bomb that one of them is going through a rough patch. In order to work on their problem, the troubled couple chooses to go to a lush tropical getaway and brings along their couples friends to get a special group price. What the others do not know is that their group-rate vacation comes at a price.
"Couples Retreat" is directed by first-time helmer Peter Billingsley. The screenplay is provided by "Iron Man" helmer Jon Favreau, while the music is composed by A. R. Rahman, the Academy Award winner for his work in "Slumdog Millionaire". Jean Reno also joins the cast ensemble of this comedy movie which will come out in U.S. theaters October 9.
