Ryan O'Neal, Redmond James O'Neal, and some of the actress' celebrity friends have all been seen attending the private funeral held in Los Angeles on Tuesday, June 30.

AceShowbiz - The private funeral for late actress Farrah Fawcett has been held at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels in Los Angeles on Tuesday, June 30. Her longtime partner Ryan O'Neal and their son, Redmond James O'Neal, were seen among the pall-bearers and gave a reading at the service.

Seen attending the funeral among others were Farrah's ex-husband Lee Majors, with whom she recently reconnected after being estranged for years, and former "Charlie's Angels" co-stars, Kate Jackson, Jaclyn Smith and Cheryl Ladd. Farrah's best friend Alana Stewart, actor Ernie Hudson, as well as model Cheryl Tiegs were also in attendance.

Outside the Roman Catholic church, a few dozen fans watched as Farrah's casket was taken inside, covered with sprays of bright yellow flowers that seemed to reflect her sunny smile and golden hair that made her a worldwide icon 30 years ago. The service opened with an "Amazing Grace" procession and featured a photograph of Farrah in a sequined dress, smiling. Inside, the James Joyce's poem "At That Hour" was featured.

Redmond gave the service's first reading, with Ryan next reading the 23rd Psalm. Farrah's Los Angeles cancer doctor, Dr. Lawrence Piro, and Alana gave eulogies after Richard Marx and Linda Thompson's song "To Where You Are" was played.

Farrah Fawcett passed away last Thursday, June 25 after losing her battle with anal cancer, with which she was first diagnosed in 2006. She was 62. Her son, Redmond James O'Neal, was allowed to leave jail, where he is serving a sentence for drug-related charges, to attend the service.
