The 'Wizards of Waverly Place' star will imitate Natalie Portman who studied in college while having a movie project in line.

AceShowbiz - Selena Gomez has had a vision of what she will do in few years time and it won't involve TV. The 16-year-old actress will take a break from the industry after completing her contract with Disney Channel for "Wizards of Waverly Place", in order to concentrate on college years.

"I think this'll be the last series that I do," Selena revealed. "I'm going to try to pull a Natalie Portman. Natalie went to Harvard while shooting 'Star Wars'. I don't know how she did it. I want to have lunch with her and ask her - that seems like a bunch of stress right there."

Selena is looking forward to enroll in her dream school, Northwestern University, and majors in either theater or journalism. She has been so far home-schooled and has not yet taken SATs.

In tow with her education plan, Selena also would love to make a move to feature movies. "I'm going to make that transition slowly," she added. "I'm not going to immediately go do something that's way off the charts, because my goal is to keep my audience and have them grow with me."

Selena Gomez will start filming the third season of "Wizards" in August and will release a debut album in fall. Besides, she has two TV movies coming out this summer, "Princess Protection Program" and "Wizards of Waverly Place: The Movie". "I don't really like to rest too much," the starlet said. "...I do constantly like to work. I believe that it keeps me going and makes me happy."
