Drake's single 'Best I Ever Had' from 'So Far Gone' mixtape is currently sitting at number 18 on Billboard Hot 100, and the rapper is said to have been offered record deals from several giant labels.

AceShowbiz - Although being unsigned to any major label, Drake has proved himself as one of the rappers who have some potential by having his single ranked on Billboard Hot 100. His track called "Best I Ever Had" from "So Far Gone" mixtape has jumped to number 18 after previously sitting at number 35 on the U.S. singles chart.

A music video for the song has been shot in Brooklyn, New York and is expected to be premiered before the end of this month. "I been working with a couple people on some ideas," the Lil Wayne's protege explained to MTV. "I don't wanna say who yet, because everything isn't confirmed yet. It should be pretty solid in the next few days."

"The biggest thing about that song is that a lot of women come up to me and say, 'That's my song, because it really makes me feel special.' So I told the directors that were interested that I just want the visuals to coincide with that feeling," Drake continued. "I want women to feel special when they watch the visual and say, 'I wish that was me,' or 'I know that feeling.' That's the goal with the video - to be genuine and not sappy. Be sexy and keep it together, but still make women smile."

With the impressive chart performance of "Best I Ever Had", Drake is considered as one of the promising artists and reportedly has been offered record deals from major labels, including Universal Motown and Atlantic Records. Up to date, it is still unclear which offer he has accepted, but rumor suggested he chose to join his mentor's label, Young Money.

However, the speculation was quickly turned down by Drake. He said, "I'm not signed to Young Money but definitely Young Money is a family to me. I'm definitely YM affiliated, you know? I have the utmost love for everybody over there, the utmost respect." Though the rumor has been denied, another speculation emerged that he will be touring with Weezy, Young Jeezy and Jay-Z this summer.

Drake is currently working on his debut album "Thank Me Later". In this record, he hopes to work with Jay-Z and Kanye West in addition to Lil Wayne. Aside from cooking up materials for his own effort, the Canadian rapper who started his career in showbiz as a small screen actor also writes songs for Rihanna's new album and is involved in the making of Weezy's rock-inspired set "REBIRTH".
