Movie

Josh Brolin's portrayal of the hideously disfigured western gunslinger has been teased when several photos of the actor in full make-up and costume are found.

AceShowbiz - Images of Josh Brolin in costume as the titular character in "Jonah Hex" have leaked out. Three in all, the photos come out via Lainey Gossip and uncover for the first time how the surly and cynical gunslinger/bounty hunter will look like in the big screen adaptation of the anti hero's comic series.

Jonah Hex is a rough-and-tumble gunslinger and part-time bounty hunter. He is known for having the right side of his face disfigured and for wearing a Confederate army uniform. Making his first appearance in the early 1970s, the anti-hero character got its own self-titled series in 1977 and ran for about 10 years. A new series was launched in 2005.

"Jonah Hex" is directed by Jimmy Hayward with Mad Chance's Andrew Lazar and Weed Road's Akiva Goldsman serving as producers. Josh Brolin stars opposite Megan Fox, who takes on a gun-wielding beauty and love interest of Hex named Leila, and John Malkovich, who will be portraying the villain Turnbull. The movie is set to see an August 6, 2010 U.S. release.
