Having discussed the possibility of the Ghostbusters team getting several female members, 'Ghostbusters' actor Dan Aykroyd spills out more details on the upcoming third movie.

AceShowbiz - "Ghostbusters" original cast, Dan Aykroyd, has teased out more on what to expect from the third movie. Slash Film reported that the Academy Award-nominated actor has given an update to "Ghostbusters 3", talking about a new leader as well as the ghostbusting team's new equipment to the Guardian Guide.

In the pull out supplement of The Guardian's Saturday issue, the "Christmas with the Kranks" actor shared, "There'll be a whole new generation that has to be trained and a leader that you'll all love when you meet her." He then added, "There'll be lots of cadets, boys and girls who'll be learning how to use the neuron splitter and the inter-planet interceptor - new tools to enable them to slip from dimension to dimension."

Previously, Aykroyd has thrown in possibilities of the new Ghostbusters team having several female members. He also revealed that he believes Alyssa Milano and Eliza Dushku are suitable for the roles. "I think they're amazing," he at the time told Los Angeles Times' Hero Complex. "And I'm excited about the whole idea of getting this done."

"Ghostbusters 3" will be the second sequel for the 1980s comedy movie. Columbia Pictures have picked up Emmy-nominated screenwriting team, Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky, to pen the script, which is expected to commence early summer. The new movie reportedly will feature the old team as the sage mentors of young Ghostbusters.
