Kings of Leon Tapped to Sing in 2009 MTV Movie Awards

Kings of Leon are confirmed to perform in 2009 MTV Movie Awards, joining previously-announced performer Eminem.

AceShowbiz - Alternative rock band Kings of Leon have been added to the performers list of this year's MTV Movie Awards. The four-piece band are planned to sing "Use Somebody", which is lifted from their 2008 studio album "Only by the Night".

Another musician recruited to make a live appearance at the annual event is rapper Eminem. He is expected to deliver one of the new songs in his much-anticipated effort "Relapse" which will be outed on May 19.

2009 MTV Movie Awards will be held at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, California on Sunday, May 31, at 9 P.M. ET. The ceremony will be hosted by "Saturday Night Live" regular Andy Samberg.

Additionally, Hip-Hop mogul Lil Wayne and actor Ryan Reynolds are billed as presenters at the upcoming event. They will be joined by Denzel Washington, Cameron Diaz, Leighton Meester, Will Ferrell, Vanessa Hudgens and Jonah Hill.

Nominees for the awards have been announced on May 4. And, "Twilight" came out dominating the pack with seven gongs. Voting for the winners via 2009 MTV Movie Awards site will run off on May 27, but viewers still can determine their favorite in Best Movie category through the live awards show.
