'New Moon' Script Found in Trash

A St. Louis beauty salon owner has come across the pages of 'The Twilight Saga's New Moon' script in a trash bin and has returned it to the studio producing the movie.

AceShowbiz - After the second draft of its screenplay was leaked out, "The Twilight Saga's New Moon" sparked another report concerning its script after the pages of the sequel was found in trash can. The script was found accidentally by a St. Louis beauty salon owner named Casey Ray when waiting for her fiance outside a hotel to get off of work. In the same bin, she also found "Memoirs" script.

While in the beginning Ray has considered to leak both of the scripts to a national tabloid, she then decided to return them to Summit Entertainment, her lawyer Al Watkins claimed. "My client didn't really want to get paid," he said further, but did notice that Ray was interested to keep the scripts as collector's items.

Watkins also noted that for her reward returning the scripts, Ray was invited to the films' premiere and the studio will certify the scripts as authentic after the movies are released. However, Summit spokesman Paul Pflug declined to confirm the matter, saying "Summit doesn't comment on any of the deals it does." Still, he added, "We thank Ms. Ray for doing the right thing."

It is still unclear how the two scripts could end up in the trash on the first place although it is reported that Anna Kendrick, who plays Jessica in the "Twilight" series, is filming a movie "Up in the Air" in St. Louis, and the two scripts were found outside the hotel where "Air" star George Clooney and other actors are staying. In Kendrick's defense, her rep insisted that the actress would never leave the script laying around, nor would she dump them in the trash.

Days earlier, report was flying high that a 105-page of what is claimed to be Melissa Rosenberg-written second draft of "New Moon" screenplay has been leaked through a Twitter page. Cinema Blend, which was the first to report, noted that the leaked script starts with "a dream sequence in which Bella imagines herself as a wrinkly old woman, still with an eternally young and extremely diamond skinned Edward".

Set for November 20 U.S. release, "The Twilight Saga's New Moon" will be directed by "The Golden Compass" helmer Chris Weitz using the script penned by "Twilight" screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg. Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner return to reprise their roles as Edward Cullen, Bella Swan and Jacob Black. They will be joined by many of the original cast members, including Jackson Rathbone and Nikki Reed, as well as new additions that consist of Dakota Fanning and Michael Sheen among others.
