'Dollhouse' will wind it down with 12 episodes when the real motive of Alpha is revealed on the May 8 episode.

AceShowbiz - The time has come to wrap up the first season of "Dollhouse". Alpha has been revealed but most importantly, what he really wants will be unveiled on the May 8 season finale titled "Omega".
Alpha's reign of terror continues as his obsession with Echo endangers Caroline's survival. Ballard must make a life-changing decision and one Doll is permanently deactivated while another's shocking past is revealed.
Alan Tudyk, who plays Alpha, revealed to EW what he knows about the finale. "Everything that Alpha has done has been about Echo," he explained. "He's obsessed with this woman. And next week you find out what his plans are for her, and why he's obsessed with her."
"Dollhouse" actually has one more episode called "Epitaph One" which will not be aired on FOX. Actress Felicia Day who guest stars in the episode said that it will go straight to DVD after the Comic Con.
