The first official look into Jon Favreau-directed 'Iron Man 2' has been provided when the sequel's first production photo is unraveled via USA Today.

AceShowbiz - The first photo of the highly anticipated "Iron Man 2" has finally made its rounds. Uncovered by USA Today, it highlights on Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark. In the newly-released image, Stark is seen working in his lab and a collection of Iron Man suits is stacked in the background, hinting the possibility that Stark may be building an armory of Iron Man suits.
Accompanying the photo are few details on the sequel shared by director Jon Favreau. To the newspaper, Favreau stated that the sequel will take place "six months after Stark revealed his identity as Iron Man" and that it will deal with public relations crisis. "How many superheroes are open about their true identities?" he pointed out. "We wanted to play with that idea. But it obviously has consequences - in his relationships, on the team. There are a lot of areas we can explore."
A sequel to the 2008 blockbuster "Iron Man", "Iron Man 2" has started its principal photography Monday, April 6 with Robert Downey Jr. once again taking the role of Tony Stark/Iron Man. Gwyneth Paltrow returns to play Pepper Potts, while Don Cheadle replaces Terrence Howard as Colonel James 'Rhodey' Rhodes.
Other cast members include Mickey Rourke, Scarlett Johansson, Samuel L. Jackson, Sam Rockwell, and Kate Mara. Written by "Tropic Thunder" co-scribbler Justin Theroux, this superhero movie is set to open in theaters across the U.S. on May 7, 2010.
