Reconciling with his wife Robin Wright Penn after initially filing for legal separation in 2007, Sean Penn is seeking to split from Robin for one more time, citing irreconcilable differences.

AceShowbiz - Giving their marriage another go after initially filing for divorce in 2007, Sean Penn and his wife Robin Wright Penn are separating, again, after 13 years of marriage. According to the court documents obtained by Extra, the actor filed for legal separation last Friday, April 24 in Marin County, Calif.

Citing "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the split, Sean is requesting that the court does not award any spousal support to Robin. He, additionally, is seeking joint physical and legal custody of their children; daughter Dylan, 18, and son Hopper, 15.

Sean Penn and Robin Wright Penn wed on April 27, 1996. Back in December 2007, the pair had their representative confirming that they were divorcing. However, the divorce petition was then dismissed at their own request in April 2008.

Sean raised eyebrows at this year's Oscars held on February 22 when he neglected to thank Robin during his acceptance speech for Best Actor Award given to him for his starring role as politician and gay rights activist Harvey Milk in "Milk."

After the awards show Sean told Oprah Winfrey at her TV show "The Oprah Winfrey Show" that he did the omission because he "wanted to keep things focused on the professional team around" his movie. "Because with Robin comes my mother and my son and my daughter, and half of them will punish me if I mention them," he explained.
