Ballard comes upon the creator of 'Dollhouse' and discovers Caroline inside it but he is held under gun point later.

AceShowbiz - FOX states on its promo of "Dollhouse" May 1 episode that this would be the event "you've been waiting for". Ballard finally comes to what he has been searching for, finding the Dollhouse quarter and discovering Echo inside one of the chambers.
Ballard's investigation leads him to the agoraphobic designer of the Dollhouse, and the story of "Sleeping Beauty" foreshadows Echo's future, while allowing her to help a young girl deal with her traumatic past. Adelle goes to the attic in search of answers, while Alpha reveals himself and sets his game in motion.
The episode is called "Briar Rose". Alan Tudyk ("Friefly") guest stars as Stephen Kepler, the creator of the Dollhouse.
Eliza Dushku talked about the particular episode to E! Online previously, saying "It is revealed in ep 11 why Caroline is the focus of so much attention. Questions are answered in a freaky delicious way."
