'They did not send us a script. They showed us a complete story reel of the entire movie,' Tom Hanks recalls on Pixar's extra convincing method to have him voice Woody once again for 'Toy Story 3'.

AceShowbiz - Having voiced Sheriff Woody in Disney/Pixar's two "Toy Story" movies, Tom Hanks will once again return to give a voice to Andy's favorite cowboy toy in "Toy Story 3" and he has one interesting story on how the studio convince him to take on the role once more. Talking to Empire Magazine for its latest issue, the 52-year-old revealed that he didn't get the film's script, but was treated with the entire film.

"They did an interesting thing on this one," the back-to-back Oscar-winning actor shared. "They did not send us a script. They showed us a complete story reel of the entire movie, with storyboards moving from one to the next, and the people up at Pixar recorded some voices with some music and sound effects. Tim Allen and John Ratzenberger and I went in a movie theater, watched the reel and said, 'This is great, let's get to work!'"

On how far along his work on "Toy Story 3" has gone, the actor who will soon be seen as Professor Robert Langdon in "Angels & Demons" said, "I have been in and done three big complete recording sessions and will probably have at least one more to do, possibly in about eight months." He then added, "Then eight months after that I'll do a mop-up and have three more sessions after that. Those movies are beasts."

"Toy Story 3" has been set to be released in U.S. theaters on June 18, 2010. It will follow the toys' latest adventure as they are being dumped in a day-care center after Andy heads to college. Directed by "Toy Story 2" co-helmer Lee Unkrich, it will hear familiar voices from Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, Joan Cusack, Wallace Shawn, Don Rickles, Estelle Harris, John Ratzenberger and Jodi Benson. Its teaser trailer has reportedly been debuted at the National Association of Broadcasters show in Las Vegas.
